When the Heart says "yes"

"When the heart says yes!"

To the Huichole Indians of the Sierra Madres of Mexico the heart is one with the Spirit of Fire. Fire is therefore the element of love and guidance, light in the darkness, warmth in the cold, and of course transformation. We were part of a group of people living in the little hamlet of Tepoztlan Mexico. We were fascinated by a strange occurrence going on in town. A Jewish guy named David Wyley was adopted as part of the lineage to two different indigenous shamanistic tribes. During trance he would fall into a profound trance and guzzle large amounts of chocolate and smoke endless huge cigars. In trance he would also tell horrible jokes and casually along the way he would happen to answer peoples life questions. We were transfixed when he often put his bare hands into the fire to light his his cigar with hot coals. We were even more scared when he went into convulsions by dawn as his soul struggled to get back into his body. We were so grateful to his powerful spanish wife Diana Villa Senior as she seemed to be the only one who could guarantee his safe return home. It took so long for him to remember who or where he was. The elder shaman of the Nahuatle and Qhuichole tribes who blessed this occurrence simply proclaimed "He's got our god sitting on his shoulders. The spirit of Fire will bless many people through him." All of us entered a euphoric mood on the nights when David would channel the spirit of "Tatewari"(the spirit of Fire). There were many teachings we absorbed from the sacred Fire…or was it just Davids subconscious mind entertaining us? Which ever we chose to believe, the teachings were still just as helpful to us each individually. I am now living in Shelburn Falls because of many sessions by the fire alone with my Goddess in the flames and with David and Tatewari speaking through him.

There is a teaching I live by, from the Spirit of Fire,

( as channeled by this shaman in Mexico that I used to hang out with.)

It goes like this;

"the heart knows only love. Love is an eternal "yes". There is no understanding of "no" because "no" is contraction.

thus the heart can give only "yes" for an answer because the love that is heart is in natural expansion.

However, when things are not right with the heart there is silence there.

So if you ask your heart for guidance and there is silence, take that as "no".

When your heart says "YES" you know it!

When there is a silent heart there is nothing to follow.

But if you think you hear your heart saying "No" and contracting, that is not actually the heart.

That is the mind or ego. The mind will often shut down and turn away from the expansion of the heart. Don't follow the "no" either!

Love in the yes often shimmers with profound awakening!

Yet sometimes the yes can be heard or felt as a sweet and small voice. But it feels like delight.

So if you want to follow your heart , then when there is loud negativity of your mind, or silence inside your heart,

 do nothing!

Just wait for the "yes". Follow only the joyous "yes".

Then love can constantly guide you."

That's what being in love is like, right? It's just that feeling of "yes!" even if many preferences are not necessarily met.

We are trained to believe that being in love is all about most of our minds preferences being met. So when we are shimmering inside the yes and it makes no sense a dark cloud of ego temptation keeps us from following our crazy hearts. But our hearts feel truth! Our hearts are connected to eternal reality! Follow the heart and you are in the land of grounded miracles! Follow the mind and there is a strange emptiness to all the abundance you insisted upon. Follow the heart and the poorest circumstance is filled with unimaginable magic! But we get confused. Is my heart saying yes? If it really is saying "yes" believe me you don't need to ask! And if it isn't you don't need to convince your self. just accept things. wait for the yes. The yes is joyous.
